We usually rely on Baseball America’s expertise, but we won’t neglect MLB.com’s Jonathan Mayo. For the first time he and his colleagues at MLB.com have released a top 100 prospect list of the best young players in baseball. The list is topped by Matt Moore (Tampa Bay Rays), Bryce Harper (Washington Nationals) and Mike Trout (Los Angeles Angels). Two players, which are eligible to play for the Dutch National Team are also on the list. Jurickson Profar of the Texas Rangers is occupying the seventh spot. Andrelton Simmons of the Atlanta Braves is 65th. And Xander Bogaerts of the Boston Red Sox, who won the Baseball World Cup with the Netherlands last October, is ranked in 76th place.
