MLB probably not staging Games in London in 2017

Posted on July 12, 2016July 12, 2016 by philipp

The BBC is reporting on Tuesday that Major League Baseball has stopped planning to host regular MLB games of the 2017 season in London/UK. The 2012 Olympic stadium was the desired destination. However the organization of the World Baseball Classic next year and the upcoming new collective bargaining agreement with the players association apparently have made a 2017 debut of MLB in Europe impossible.
