The 2021 MLB season starts today! ESPN Player has 10 live MLB regular season games per week in Europe. Follow the journey with us here on Mister Baseball from the first pitch of the season all the way to the World Series.  In addition to the live action on ESPN Player we’ll be bringing you exclusive insight and previews of the biggest and best matchups in the MLB courtesy of ESPN’s legendary analysts and experts Bradford Doolittle, Alden Gonzalez and David Schoenfield.

Last year’s winners the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 4-2 in the best of seven playoff to clinch the 2020 title. After 32 years the Dodgers finally won their first championship with a number of standout performers most notably; shortstop Corey Seager who played a vital role in the campaign and was rewarded with the MVP award [Most Valuable Player].

Favourites to challenge the Dodgers this year come in the form of the New York Mets, Chicago White Sox and Atlanta Braves to name a few. According to ESPN columnists the top five ranked players to watch out for this year are Mike Trout, Mookie Betts, Juan Soto, Ronald Acuna and Gerrit Cole – each player with the capability of leading his side far in the competition. The season returns in its full capacity of 162 games after last year’s program was interrupted by the COVID19 pandemic.
