The BONN CAPITALS held their annual assembly last weekend and also celebrated the 20th anniversary of the club. They elected Dr. Udo Schmitz as new chairman of the board, succeeding Dr. Helmut Ullrich, who resigned following the European Championships Juniors in Bonn this August. They also announced that the former German national team pitcher Mirko Heid will take over as head coach of the team in 2010. He will be assisted by fellow former national teamer Olaf Dreesen. Heid’s predecessor Mathias Winterrath was let go at the beginning of September.
