Former Minor Leaguer Jeffrey McKenzie joins Rouen Huskies

Posted on February 9, 2015February 9, 2015 by philipp

The Rouen Huskies have announced their sixth new player on the roster for the 2015 season in the French Division I. The Boise, Idaho native Jeffrey McKenzie is joining the team of Keino Perez. The 23-year-old left-handed pitcher played two seasons in the Chicago White Sox organization.

In 31 games (12 starts) he had an 8-5 record with an ERA of 4.08. He was stellar in the Pioneer League, but struggled in the South Atlantic League and got released following the 2014 campaign. He is scheduled to arrive in Rouen on March 20.

McKenzie is the sixth addition to the Huskies squad. Larry Infante, Kevin Lusson, Pablo Ossandon, Sebastien Duchossoy and Esteban Piroul already have been announced. Following a string of nine consecutive championships Rouen missed out on the French Finals last year.
