Minnesota Twins signed another Czech prospect

Posted on April 12, 2008 by philipp

One month ago scouts of the MINNESOTA TWINS visited training of KRC ALTRON, (Czech Republic) and tested a talented prospect. Their mission was successful, as they signed 18 year-old Matej Hejma. For Hejma this means that he will start the season with KRC. At the end of May he will move to Australia for a two-month camp and then he will spend one month in Tirrenia (Italy). Probably next year Hejma will make the move to Florida to play in the minor leagues. After pitcher Jakub Toufar, Matej Hejma is the second Czech baseball player who signed with the TWINS. Congratulation to Hejma and to KRC ALTRON as their youth program brings the first major success.
