The Melbourne Aces offense once again dominated and completed a four-game sweep over the Brisbane Bandits on Thursday with a 16-3 pounding in the Australian Baseball League. Yoshiyuki Kamei and Grant Karlsen led the way by going a combined 6-for-6 with four homeruns, a double, eight runs scored and ten RBI. Josh Davis drove in four. Shuhei Fukuda hit a two-run homerun for Brisbane. Jeff Jamnik (W 1-0) allowed five hits, a run and a walk in five innings for the win. James Albury (2-3) took the loss. With the victory Melbourne improved to 13-10 and moved into second place of the ABL standings, a half game behind the Perth Heat. The Bandits dropped to sixth place with an 8-14 record.
