According to media reports Major League Baseball is finalizing a two-game series between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees set for London, United Kingdom June 29 and 30 of 2019. The Red Sox would be the home team. The two games would be played at the 2012 Olympic Stadium, which is now home of West Ham United. Due to the 400m athletic track its dimensions would be best to accommodate a baseball field. The month of June has been selected due to the availability of the facility. This year regular season games will be played in Puerto Rico and Mexico. Next year’s opening series could return to the Tokyo Dome.
