French infielder Maxime Lefevre of the Rouen Huskies has signed a professional contract to play for the Quebec Capitales this year. They are a member of the independent Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball (CanAm League) and won the title last year. The 2013 season just got underway this weekend.
Lefevre becomes the second French Capitales player after Anthony Cros wore their jersey a couple of years ago. Patrick Scalabrini is the head coach of the team, which also includes Canadian national teamer Jonathan Malo.
