German players Max Kepler and Donald Lutz, who are both on the 40-man roster of their respective MLB organizations, are currently extending the 2014 season in fall/winter league ball.
Kepler (Minnesota Twins) has found his groove in the Arizona Fall League. He has hit safely in nine of his last ten games, collecting three extra base hits in his last three games. Overall he is now hitting .306 (OBP .405/SLG .417) with a triple, two doubles, six runs and two RBI. However he still missed out on the Fall Stars Game on Saturday.
Lutz (Cincinnati Reds) meanwhile is playing in the Mexican Pacific League for Yaquis de Obregon. He is batting .277 (OBP .319/SLG .477) with two home runs, seven doubles, eight runs scored and seven RBI in 15 games. He had three multiple hit games in his last ten, while collecting seven extra base hits in the process.
