Player-manager Matti Emery will leave the Stuttgart Reds. The German Baseball-Bundesliga club announced it on Thursday on its website. Emery will stay in Canada to complete his studies and work on his career off the field. He joined the team last winter. He also played for the Gauting Indians and Bad Homburg Hornets in the top division in German baseball. He has an Estonian passport and therefore didn’t occupy a foreign player spot. He batted .299/.382/.495 with four home runs, 24 runs scored and 24 RBI in 28 games for the fifth-ranked club in the south.
