Marlins Puerto Cruz awaits FC Barcelona this week

Posted on April 11, 2008April 11, 2008 by philipp

On the third game day the last year’s 1-2 finisher in the Spanish Honor Division face each other this weekend. The MARLINS PUERTO CRUZ and the FC BARCELONA open their two-game series on Saturday at 6pm at the El Burgado ballpark in Tenerife. Leslie Nacar (MPC) is on the mound against Remigio Leal (FCB) in the first match. On Sunday at 10am Ivan Granados (MPC) pitches against Andoni Ortiz (FCB). Both clubs had a successful start into the new season. The MARLINS won three out of four with the only loss coming in a 17-inning thriller against NAVARRA last week. BRACELONA had no problems to earn victories in their opening series against CD PAMPLONA. PUERTO CRUZ should be slightly favored this time, as they have the home field advantage. But a split could be possible.

The only other game on Saturday is going to be between BASEBALL NAVARRA and CB SANT BOI. The other four clubs resume their schedule on Sunday with doubleheaders between SAN INAZIO BILBAO and EL LLANO, in addition to the bottom duel between bottom half teams ASTROS VALENCIA and CD PAMPLONA. CB VILADECANS can regroup as they have a bye in week three after four losses in the first four games.
