SANT BOI brought their win total to ten with a sweep against PAMPLONA. They won both matches relatively easy and took over first place in standings.
CB got a fast lead in the first inning of the series opener and added a bunch of insurance runs in the fourth and seventh frame. A. Figueroa had two hits and drove in three, M. Carrillo two. R. Rivas scored twice. A. Vargas (W 5-1) went seven innings, giving up just two hits, a run and a walk, while striking out six. F. Quijada replaced him and put on a show, striking out the side in each the eighth and the ninth. A. Fumero (L 1-5) was charged with five hits, five runs and seven base on balls in 3 2/3 innings.
PAMPLONA took twice a one-run lead in the second part of the doubleheader. But SANT BOI overcame the deficit and brought the game out of reach in the eighth. Starting pitcher Y. Vazquez (W 1-0) was the dominant force, both offensive and defensive wise. He struck out eight in a complete game victory, allowing three hits, two unearned runs and three base on balls. He also had three hits (two doubles) and five RBI at the plate. A. Figueroa scored three times. A. Casanellas (L 3-3) gave up twelve hits, seven runs (5 ER) and four walks in eight innings.

SAN INAZIO got back to the .500 mark with two victories against winless VALENCIA. J.M. Nieves, who also scored twice, and K. Marianucci each drove in two runs as they beat the ASTROS 8-2 in game one. R. Reyes and A. Izaguirre scored two times. E. Arteaga (W 3-1) went the distance, putting on a line of two hits, two runs (1 ER), two walks and ten strikeouts. N. Cowes (L 0-4) allowed six hits, five runs (4 ER) and three bb in six innings.
The score of the second match was even more lopsided with BILBAO scoring seven runs in the sixth and seventh frame to end the contest early due to ten-run rule. Left fielder J. Nieves showed another impressive performance at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a homerun, four runs scored and three RBI. He reached fifth time through a hit by pitch and stole also two bases. K. Marianucci and F. Tua each had three RBI. P. Belmonte (W 1-2) gave up an unearned run on four hits in 6 1/3 innings. He struck out six. J. Gomez (L 0-3) allowed six hits, four runs and a walk in five innings.

The 2007 champion MARLINS are closing the gap to first further with two victories against VILADECANS. They scored in both matches five runs and are ranked second with eleven wins and three losses.
The guests from Catalonia opened the scoring in the first frame, when J. Machado drove in a run with an infield single. However this was the only run, the team would bring on the board. The MARLINS needed four innings to get the offensive machine going. They tied the game in the fifth, where N. Perez scored on a throwing error by the pitcher. An inning later R. Montiel provided their first lead with a two-run homer. D. Martinez added two insurance runs with a shot over the right field fence in the seventh. R. Duarte (W 2-1) got the start. He gave up five hits, one run and one walk in eight innings, while striking out eight. Y. Ribeiro (L 2-3) allowed six hits, five runs (4 ER) and four bb in 6 2/3 innings.
I. Granados (W 5-1) led PUERTO CRUZ to a 5-0 shutout in the second match. He threw a complete game four-hit shutout, while striking out seven. This time D. Sanchez and D. Navarro each drove in two. Both also scored a run. P. Llopis (L 0-3) allowed eight hits, four runs and five walks in seven innings.
EL LLANO had a bye in week seven.
