The 25-year-old American infielder Mark Malerich is going to stay with the Austrian Baseball League club Union Kufstein Vikings. It is going to be the second season in Europe for the California State University East Bay graduate. He batted .347/.441/.500 with one homerun, a triple, ten doubles, 32 runs and 21 RBI in 26 games for the Vikings last year. On the mound he had an ERA of 8.64 in 16 2/3 innings. He also served as an assistant coach.
