Mark Herbold new President of Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB)

Posted on June 26, 2018June 26, 2018 by philipp

The Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB) has a new President. Mark Herbold got approved by the Federal Council on Monday. He will preside over a new board, which also includes new treasurer Remko de Bie, new commercial affairs officer Stefaan Eskes, secretary general Peter van der Aart, Petra Arends (Softball) and Job van Beekhoven (Baseball). Van der Aart, Arends and Van Beekhoven already were on the previous board.

Herbold’s predecessor Ron Schel and the rest of the executive board of the KNBSB stepped in March following disagreements between the executive board and the federal council over finances of the KNBSB. Since then an interim board chaired by Ruud van Zetten was looking for new board members and proposed a new structure of the federation to resolve the crisis.
