Bthere Events in partnership with Softball UK & Manchester Softball League are excited to launch Softball tournaments at the Manchester Sports & Music Festival. This new and exciting festival is set to take place on the 16-18 May 2014 at Salford Sports Village.

Festival organisers are looking forward to hosting what is set to be the most exciting Softball tournament in the UK. Teams are expected to enter from around the UK and Europe as the festival provides the ideal location and environment for those planning a weekend away!

In addition to Softball tournaments, sports such as Rugby, Lacrosse and Netball will also be competing at the festival over the same weekend. Team entry is now open and starts at just £15 per player for the whole weekend, please visit www.MCRFestival.com .

Have your flip-flops and bikinis at the ready, as the festival fancy dress theme is Beach Party! Every beach party calls for cocktails so make sure you head along to the handmade Tiki Beach Bar to try one of the exclusive festival cocktails. Be sure to reserve your pitch side deck chair!

The Pimms O’clock area is sure to be a big hit at the festival. With the sun on your face, jug of Pimms in your hand, DJs spinning tunes and great views of the sports pitches, this will be the place to hang out during the day, preparing yourself for the night ahead!

Expect to find the champagne flowing in the Hospitality Marquee, the ideal place for those looking to entertain and relax. This is the festival’s hotspot for meeting famous celebrities.

Head over to the Red Bull Wigwam where you can relax between matches whilst DJs will be playing chillout tunes. The Red Bull girls will be on hand with energy drinks & shots, as well as there being exercise bikes and physiotherapists to keep competitors in top shape.

Foodies, you are in for a treat as you can expect flavours from around the world served by a variety of independent food traders. Expect tasty paellas, succulent hog roasts, spicy curries and juicy burgers!

Live sports will be shown over the weekend on a Big Screen,including the FA Cup final and the two Aviva Premiership rugby semi-finals.

Once the trophies have been handed out and the fancy dress outfits are on head to the Festival Marquee. The atmosphere will be electric and it is the perfect place to party hard after playing hard. Expect headline DJs spinning tunes until the late hours, ensuring the party never stops.

Fitting it all in could be a challenge, so the best way to experience all aspects of the festival will be to camp. The Festival Campsite is ideally located in the heart of the arena and Family & Female Only campsites will also be available for those looking for a quieter environment. Camping is priced from just £20 per person and it is advised that you book early to secure your place.

The festival Tipis are ideal for those looking to do a spot of Glamping! The Tipis are based on a native American design and will be pitched and fitted out awaiting your arrival on Friday evening.
