According to a blog post by Gabriel Fidler former Major Leaguer Mark Teahen is going to sign with Tommasin Padua of the Italian Baseball League. Retired after the 2014 season he apparently got talked into a return to the playing field after a vacation in Italy. Teahen follows in the footsteps of several former Major Leaguers to play in the IBL, most recently Ronny Cedeno and Justin Germano. The 35-year-old Teahen batted .264/.327/.409 in 831 big league games for the Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox and Toronto Blue Jays.
