Former Major Leaguer Luis Maza is staying in the Italian Baseball League. After playing for Montepaschi Grosseto in 2011, he joins Telemarket Rimini for the upcoming season. The 31-year-old Venezuelan infielder played 48 games for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2008. Overall he spent 12 seasons in affiliated minor league ball, having signed with the Minnesota Twins as an amateur free agent in 1997. He batted .291 in 33 games for the Orioles last year. During the winter he played in the Venezuelan Winter League and reached the Caribbean Series with the Tigres de Aragua.
