The two former German Minor Leaguers Maik Ehmcke and Julsan Kamara remain with the Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg. They are supposed to fill the void left by Pascal Amon, who will enter his professional career with the Los Angeles Dodgers organization in March. Ehmcke and Kamara were released last fall from the Arizona Diamondbacks respective Philadelphia Phillies. Both had been signed out of the Regensburg academy.
Ehmcke played in 81 games at the Rookie level for the Diamondbacks, going .216/.290/.278. After an encouraging start in the Pioneer League in 2014, he was assigned to the Arizona Summer League last year and couldn’t repeat the performance from the season before. Kamara spent 44 games split through two years in the Dominican Summer League for the Phillies, batting .189/.357/.254.
