San Francisco Giants ace Madison Bumgarner could join Team USA after the first round at the 2017 World Baseball Classic. Team representatives have talked to the left-handed pitcher about the possibility. Bumgarner would be the third Giants player on the roster besides Buster Posey and Brandon Crawford. In 2013 he turned down an invitation. Team USA faces the Dominican Republic, Canada and Colombia during the first round in Miami. If they advance they will play their second round in San Diego.
