After Perth Heat defeated Adelaide Bite on Wednesday to open week three of the Australian Baseball League, three games were played on Thursday. The European flavored Canberra Cavalry with Donald Lutz and Mariekson Gregorius in the starting lineup got its first win of the 2010/2011 season, defeating the Melbourne Aces 5-2. Lutz drove in the first run of the night with the one of his two singles in the first. Gregorius went 1-for-4 and scored the tying run during a four-run rally in the fifth. On the other fields, Adelaide evened its series with Perth, while the Brisbane Bandits handed the Sydney Blue Sox their first loss of the season. Josh Roberts and Akira Nakamura collected four hits each for Brisbane.
