The Dornbirn Indians Baseball organisation is pleased to announce the signing of Australian Luke SUTERS. Luke originates from the Sydney area and will turn 22 on Saturday. He was recommended to the Indians by Head Coach KRAHE and last played for the Central Coast Marlins in the New South Wales Major League. The Marlins recently finished this year’s Winter League in fourth position.

SUTERS is going to be used mainly as a pitcher, but can also play In- as well as Outfield, giving the Indians various possibilities as an utility player. He started playing Tee-Ball at the age of five and progressed onto playing Baseball at the age of eleven. Two years later he was first nominated for the state team. Till this day he played for the New South Wales state team at all age groups. Moreover he was part of the Australian provincial team in 2006 and 2007. With the provincial team he competed in several competitions, some of them in Europe. In the same years he was in addition honoured Pitcher of the Year local first grade.
