According to a report by the Swiss Baseball and Softball Federation (SBSF), the Lucerne Eagles have added Patrick Maier and Andrea Girasole from the Zurich Challengers for the upcoming season in the Nationalliga A. Additionally Rudy Vargas (previously Bern Cardinals) will become new head coach. Right-handed pitcher Girasole is probably best known in European Baseball thanks to playing stints in Italy, Germany and Australia besides his time in Switzerland.
