Released minor league pitcher Luca Panerati has found a new home. The 22-year-old southpaw signs with Unipol Bologna. The announcement was made during Fortitudo’s traditional end-of-year meeting with the local press. The Cincinnati Reds had released him a few weeks ago after having him under contract for four years. He had a career ERA of 4.59 in 52 games in the Reds farm system. In 2011 he spent most of the year with the Dayton Dragons in the Midwest League, being a teammate of Germany’s Donald Lutz.
