On Sunday the Czech Winter League continued with its second tournament. The organizers from Tempo Titans Praha brought the tournament to the gym of DDM Praha 12. Again eight teams from Prague and Louny were divided into two groups. After a round robin classification games were played for the final standings. Six teams from the first tournament also came to Modrany. The two new teams were Zhingy Sharks (team from DDM Praha 12) and the second team of the Tempo Titans Praha.
Group A contained the strong teams Kotlarka Praha I, Tempo Titans Praha I, SaBaT Praha and Zhingy Sharks. The last game of group A was the match between Kotlarka I and Titans I, where Kotlarka I won a thrilling game 10-9 advancing to the final. The Tempo Titans had to settle for the third-place game. SaBaT beat Zhingy Sharks to finish third in pool play.
Group B had two favorites, the winner of the first tournament Lokomotiva Louny and Eagles Praha. Kotlarka Praha II and Tempo Titans Praha II completed the lineup of group B. Lokomotiva Louny again brought a strong team and without any troubles won group B. The Eagles finished second. Kotlarka II with the experience from the first tournament defeated Tempo Titans II 13-10 to finish third.
In the game for seventh place Zhingy Sharks defeated the rookies from Tempo Titans 8-3. SaBaT Praha didn’t allow a surprise in the game for fifth place, beating Kotlarka Praha II without any problems 17-3. The game for third place was a real fight not only at the field, but also in the auditorium. Many fans of both teams produced an unrepeatable atmosphere during this match. In the end the Tempo Titans showed the stronger bats and won 10-4. In the final there was only one question. Will the Kotlarka defense stop the power hitters from Louny? The answer was no, Louny presented themselves again as a very good hitters with strong defense. They didn’t gave Kotlarka I a chance and won 15-3.

After two tournaments Lokomotiva Louny is still unbeaten and is leading the whole Winter League.
The final tournament is scheduled for Sunday February 14th, 2010 in Louny.
