After just four official games in 2018 the Los Angeles Dodgers have released German outfielder Pascal Amon. The 20-year-old batted .214/.324/.323 with two home runs, 51 runs and 36 RBI in 100 minor league games between 2016 and 2018. He already has returned to Germany and will suite up for the Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg this coming weekend in the German Baseball-Bundesliga.
Sven Schüller (Los Angeles Dodgers) and Nadir Ljatifi (Cincinnati Reds) are currently active German minor leaguers with Niklas Rimmel (Minnesota Twins) expected to join them in affiliated minor league ball this summer as well. Marco Cardoso (Boston Red Sox) had left pro baseball before playing in official games and returned to the Untouchables Paderborn earlier this year.
With Max Kepler (Minnesota Twins), Germany has currently one active Major League player.
