The Royal Baseball and Softball Association handed out the Awards for the Dutch Women Softball League at the Baseball and Softball Gala in Nieuwiegein on Saturday as well.
Lindsey MEADOWS of Computer SOS Tex Town Tigers won the MVP and the Best Pitcher Award. She had an 18-5 record with a 0.79 ERA in 2007. She struck out 190 in 168.1 innings pitched. She also batted .385 with three homeruns, 23 runs scored and 18 RBI in 33 games. She celebrated their 25th birthday on Saturday. She and her Tigers were eliminated in the playoffs in four games by Sparks Haarlem.
Holland Series MVP Petra VAN HEIJST (A4 Terrasvogels) received her award as well. The prizes in the statistical categories all went to Computer SOS Tex Town Tigers. Natalie TIMMERMANS won the batting title with an average of .403. Saskia KOSTERINK smashed the most homeruns (four) this year. Breedge QUINN was first in the stolen base ranking with eight.
