The Leksand Lumberjacks have won the Swedish Baseball Championship 2018. They defeated the Sölvesborg Firehawks 3-1 in the best-of-five final series of the Swedish Elitserien. On Saturday they won games three and four 13-8 and 3-2.

In game three an eight-run rally in the bottom of the fourth inning decided the outcome. John Collins reached base five times and hit a home run. Will Nahmens drove in five. In game four the Lumberjacks outlasted Sölvesborg in 12 innings to celebrate the title.

It’s the 22nd championship for Leksand. They last won the title in 2016.
