The Italian Baseball League club Danesi Nettuno announced on Wednesday on their website that the Serie A2 club Latina BC will be their IBL2 affiliate in the 2010 season. The other teams from Nettuno will remain in their respective leagues, including Nettuno 2, which will continue to participate in the Serie A2 championship (under new name “Serie A”). In the past couple of weeks there were speculations that Nettuno 2 would be the IBL2 affiliate, but the club decided to go with Latina. Danesi Nettuno missed the IBL playoffs in 2009, but defended their title at the European Champion Cup in Barcelona, Spain.
