On Wednesday evening Kotlarka Prague won a dramatic night game against the Eagles Prague in the Czech Extraleague. A bases loaded walk by Ondrej Blazka scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth. Moments earlier Jackson Brebner had tied the contest with a two-run single. The Eagles had taken a 4-2 lead in the top of the ninth thanks to a RBI single by Jan Drabek and an error.
It was a thrilling matchup between the two current top teams in the Extraleague. Michael Kral pitched five no-hit innings for Kotlarka, allowing just an unearned run and three walks to start the game. Rick Dijck struck out four in 3 1/3 innings of no-hit, no-walk relief for the Eagles. Thomas Macy ended up with the win, while Viktor Smidt suffered the loss.
The Czech Extraleague continues on Friday evening.
