The Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Federation (KNBSB) and Stichting ETO signed a three-year contract on Saturday, as the Dutch national team and all its youth teams will use the new baseball/softball complex in Hoofddorp as main training center.
KNBSB Technical Director Robert Eenhoorn, Stichting ETO Chairman Martin Broersen and Hoofddorp Pioniers vice president Ilja Schinkel were on hand to finalize the agreement before game four of the Holland Series between DOOR Neptunus and the Vaessen Pioniers.
The new baseball/softball complex, which features several fields, will be ready to use on March 1, 2014 as part of the Park21 project. The main field will have a capacity of 600, which can be extended to up to 30,000. The new clubhouse will due to the agreement also feature offices for the coaching staff of the Dutch national team.
