Keigo Miyagi not coming back to Mainz Athletics

Posted on March 16, 2011March 16, 2011 by philipp

Just a few days after 30-year-old Japanese shortstop Keigo Miyagi agreed to come back to the Mainz Athletics, they had to announce that he is not returning after all. Manager Ulli Wermuth isn’t sure if they will add a replacement or if they will use Niki Weichert and Max Boldt as shortstop going into the 2011 season. The A’s will travel to Montpellier, France from Wednesday to Sunday to take part in a preseason tournament including the Mannheim Tornados, Montpellier Barracudas, France 18U, Beaucaire Chevaliers and Stade Toulousain.
