The Swedish Elitserien team Karlskoga Bats won the Norwegian indoor tournament Winter Baseball cup. The tournament was played the 21st of March and Karlskoga Bats defeated the two best Norwegian teams, Oslo Pretenders 11-1 and ÖHIL Royals 5-0 for the tournament title.
Karlskoga Bats had solid pitching from Kent Karlsson, Robin Lausen and newcomers Michael Andersson and Anders Nygren. Christoffer Johansson hit the only homerun of the tournament, a two-run shot over the left field wall of ÖHIL’s pitcher Emil Fjellvang. Bat’s offense was led by veteran players Olle Öijen, Stefan Fahlin, Petter Lundberg and the young, very talented Robin Lausen.
