Swedish Eliteserie team Karlskoga Bats present two new players for the upcoming season in US-players David Brandt and Nate Green.
Speedster David Brandt played 135 college games for Castleton where he batted .337 with 109 stolen bases. In 2012, he was ranked 3rd in the country with 47 stolen bases. After college, David played two seasons in the independent Pecos League for Santa Fe Fuego where David hit .307 with 6 homeruns and 43 stolen bases in 89 games. David has also played two very succesful seasons in Austria (MVP, Gold glove shortstop, Coach of the year, 16 homeruns, 47 stolen bases and a batting average of .480).
The other new import Nate Green is just like David a player with both speed and power. Nate is a true utility player and can play all 9 positions including catcher and pitcher. He has a successful college career behind him where he played NCCA II at the University of Hawaii-Hilo and the top-rated NAIA school of Missouri Baptist. Nate batted .314 with 3 homeruns and 9 stolen bases in his last college season. After college, Nate played one season in Australia for Rockingham Rams.
