Kalian Sams signs with High Point Rockers in Atlantic League

Dutch outfielder Kalian Sams has signed pro contract with the High Point Rockers of the Independent Atlantic League. The 32-year-old played for the Quebec Capitales in the Can Am League for the past four years. In the Dutch Hoofdklasse he suited up for L&D Amsterdam. Between 2007 and 2013 he spent seven seasons in the Minor Leagues for the Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres and Texas Rangers organizations. Since then he riding the Independent League train. The Atlantic League recently came into the headlines as they reached an agreement with Major League Baseball to test some new rules and technologies.
