Dutch outfielder Kalian Sams, who was under contract with the Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres and Texas Rangers this year and afterwards helped DOOR Neptunus to claim the Dutch Hoofdklasse title, is going to play in Mexico during the winter. According to Honkbalsite.com he will leave for the Liga Mexicana del Pacifico next week. He is going to play for Algodoneros de Guasave. The 2013/2014 season starts on October 11 with the regular season running through December. The playoffs follow in January with the winner qualifying for the Caribbean Series.
