Dutch outfielder Kalian Sams has found a new team. The 26-year-old, who was released by the Seattle Mariners a couple of days ago, has signed a minor league contract with the San Diego Padres. He has reported to the team complex in Arizona to get a couple of extended spring training games in before joining the Padres Double-A affiliate in San Antonio according to Honkbalsite.com. The The Hague native has been batting .215/.292/.443 with 80 home runs in 450 minor league games so far.
