Jorge Balboa 2008

The 23-year-old right-handed pitcher Jorge Balboa is leaving the Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz after one season and returns to the FC Barcelona, where he already played during the 2008 season. He also was a member of the Spanish national team in the past and pitched for Telemarket Rimini in the Italian Baseball League in 2009. This year he had a horrible ERA of 9.45 in eight relief appearances for the Marlins in the Spanish Division de Honor. He struck out 17 batters in 13 1/3 innings, while walking twelve. He is the third new player for the FC Barcelona this offseason. They already had signed Pau Sancho and Jose Luis Riera last week.
