Dutch infielder Jonathan Schoop signed a one-year contract with the Minnesota Twins on Thursday, which will earn him $ 7.5 million in 2019. The 27-year-old was traded from the Baltimore Orioles to the Milwaukee Brewers this past summer. The Brewers then declined to give him a contract for next season making him a free agent. Schoop has batted .258/.294/.444 with 110 home runs in 681 MLB games through six years. He was invited to the All-Star Game in 2017. In 2011 he won the Baseball World Cup with the Netherlands.
