The Rouen Huskies have signed 31-year-old catcher and first baseman Jonathan Jaspe for the remainder of the 2016 season. The Venezuelan is replacing Mike Taylor on the roster, who had to return to California due to family reasons.

Jaspe is a former Minor Leaguer in the Toronto Blue Jays organization. He spent six years in affiliated minor league ball, reaching Double-A in 2010. He then joined the independent league circuit. In professional baseball he has a .280/.336/.413 batting line in 520 games.
