The Executive Committee of the Croatian Baseball Association appointed Jimmy Summers as new General Manager for its senior National Team. This year in July, Croatia will host the B-Level European Championship in Karlovac and will battle for the first place which leads to the European Championship next year.
It has been 20 long years since Jimmy Summers first arrived in Croatia. He played for Olimpija Karlovac in 1995. Summers obtained a Croatian passport and played for the Croatian National Team for the first time in the 1999 European Championship. He signed with the Dutch team ADO in 2000. In 2005 he was also serving as the team’s head coach. In 2006 he ended his career in the Netherlands and went to the USA to coach Columbus State College.
After 20 years of playing for the Croatian National Team, the time has come for Jimmy Summers to take a different role, as General Manager.
