Reigning German champion Heidenheim Heideköpfe have announced that Jay Pecci and James McOwen returning for the 2016 season. Pecci resumes his role as player coach and is also supposed to get involved with the U15 squad of the club. McOwen will be taking care of the U18 team besides manning center field for the Heidekoepfe.
Additionally the Heidekoepfe revealed that Thomas DiBenedetto is not coming back for the 2016 season due to an injury, which required offseason surgery. Robert Gruber retired at the end of last year after 17 years with the club. Sascha Lutz moved to Australia. Also the return of Aaron Dunsmore is doubtful after a he received a lucrative job offer during the winter.
