An Olympic winner in javelin, a voting member of the International Olympic Committee and the Czech Olympic Committee Jan Zelezny will support the prepared Baseball World Cup, especially the Czech part. He confirmed this during the meeting of the Czech Olympic Committee on the 14th of January.

Jan Zelezny is a fan of our sport. We have had the opportunity to talk to him about the state of preparation of the World Cup in the Czech Republic as well as the situation before the election of Baseball to Olympic programme in October.

During the plenary session a newly elected head of the Czech Olympic Committee Dr. Milan Jirasek expressed his support to Baseball as well as Softball and offered his help.

Petr Ditrich, the chairman of the Czech Baseball Association was voted by great majority (43 from 56 votes) a member of the revision committee of the Czech Olympic Committee for the next Olympic cycle from 2009 to 2012.
