Jakub Toufar joins Technika Brno

Former minor leaguer Jakub Toufar is bringing his services from Express Brno to Technika Brno. The right-handed pitcher played for Express since the 2010 season. The 24-year-old Brno native had signed with the Twins as an amateur free agent. He played two seasons (2006/2007) in the Gulf Coast League with an ERA of 5.72 in 18 games. Following his release he won three Czech championships with AVG Draci Brno. In 2011 he had a 6-5 record with an ERA of 3.50 in 97 2/3 innings for Express. He struck out 73, while walking 29.
