Dutch right-handed pitcher Jair Jurrjens is back where his professional career began. After his release from the Baltimore Orioles he signed a minor league contract with the Detroit Tigers and got assigned to the Triple A Toledo Mud Hens. He had started his career at the age of 17 with the Tigers back in 2003. He quickly moved through the farm system and reached the big leagues in 2007. Following his debut he was traded to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for Edgar Renteria, becoming an All Star in Georgia. Injuries have put Jurrjens career on the down path. In 2013 he only made two appearances for Baltimore.
