Italian Baseball Serie A: Week 4

Posted on May 7, 2022May 17, 2022 by Gabriel Fidler

Only three clubs remained undefeated in Italian baseball at the end of its fourth week of play, as two teams saw their perfect records come to an end. The remaining trifecta are the class of baseball in Italy, with Parmaclima Parma blasting Cagliari in Game 1 of a Saturday doubleheader, Bologna spinning a pair of shutouts against visiting Verona, and San Marino surviving a spirited visit by previously undefeated Hort@Godo. Two surprising contenders for pool titles, Collecchio and Modena, also took both games of their weekend series—with each defeating a long-time Serie A stalwart—to run their winning streaks to five.
