Italy announces preliminary Roster for 21U Baseball World Cup

The Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS) has announced a 26-man preliminary roster for the 21U Baseball World Cup in Taichung next month. The final roster will be released on October 30. The coaching staff is led by Guglielmo Trinci, assisted by Rolando Cretis, Claudio Corradi and Alberto D’Auria. Before departing for Taiwan the team is holding a training camp in Tirrenia next week. In Taichung they will play three exhibition games between November 3 and 5 against local university teams.

Roster:
Pitcher:  Gabriele Quattrini, Yomel Rivera, Jacopo Piccini, Simone Bazzarini, Matteo Bocchi, Filippo Crepaldi, Enrico Varin, Davide Anselmi, Andrea Pizziconi, Milvio Andreozzi, Paolo Taschini, Valerio Simone.

Catcher: Mario Trinci, Alberto Mineo.

Infielder: Matteo Pizzolini, Mirco Caradonna, Davide Benetti, Luca Pulzetti, Leonardo Colagrossi, Mattia Mercuri, Freddy Miguel Noguera, Giovanni Garbella.

Outfielder: Sebastiano Poma, Federico Celli, Federico Giordani, Alessandro Grimaudo.
