The Italian Winter League, an indoor league for youth players, is starting into a new season on Sunday in Bologna. 36 teams will fight in four preliminary tournaments in six venues for a spot in the final event, which is scheduled for March 8th. The Athletics Bologna won the title last winter.
The Winter League Emilia Romagna is one of the four first-round competitions and begins on Sunday in Bologna. The Winter League Tuscany, Winter League Veneto and the Tournament of Rovigo are going to open next year.
