T&A San Marino has defended its title as champion of the Italian Baseball League. They won the Italian Series 4-2 thanks to a 5-4 walk-off victory over Telemarket Rimini on Friday evening. Francesco Imperiali delivered the game-winning hit with a RBI double with one out in the bottom of the ninth.

After falling behind early on a three-run homerun by Imperiali in the second and trailing 0-4 after six, the Pirates made an impressive comeback in the seventh. They scored four runs and seemed to be on the verge of extending the series again. Giuseppe Spinelli and Brandon Chaves put Rimini on the board with a pair of RBI singles. Joe Persichina tied the contest with a two-run single.

Tiago Da Silva issued 12 hits, four runs (3 ER) and a walk in nine innings to pick up the win. Carlos Pezzullo was charged with the loss, pitching in relief of Roberto Corradini, who had allowed four runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings.
