Italian Baseball League: Unipol Bologna wins on Thursday

Unipol Bologna defeated Palfinger Reggio Emilia 8-2 on Thursday evening in the Italian Baseball League. Bologna scored five runs in the first two frames to decide things early. Alessandro Vaglio drove in four. Nicholas Nosti reached four times and each time crossed the plate. Paul Macaluso had two hits for Reggio Emilia. Raul Rivero received his seventh win, allowing four hits, two runs (1 ER) and three walks in five innings. Filippo Bertolini surrendered five hits, six runs and six bb in 5 1/3 innings to take the loss.
